Adv (CA) Avinash Poddar

Avinash Poddar is a CA turned lawyer, is a Law Graduate, a fellow member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Certified Financial Planner, Microsoft Certified Professional and DISA (Diploma in Information Systems Audit) from ICAI. He has also completed various certificate courses of ICAI such as Arbitration, Forensic Accounting and Fraud Detection, Valuation, IFRS, Indirect Taxes. He has also completed post graduate diploma is Cyber Crime (PGCCL). Submitted his thesis of PhD., for which the Research subject is “Convergence of Excise, Service Tax and VAT into Goods & Service Tax (GST) and Its Likely Impact on the Industries of Gujarat State. He has also actively contributed as a member in committees on Indirect Tax of different forums such as ICAI, WIRC of ICAI, Gujarat Chamber of Commerce, Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industries, etc. He is also faculty to Certificate Course on GST of ICAI and has addressed conferences, seminars etc pan India. He has a vast experience of more than 19 years in opining clients on complex Indirect Tax matters and has represented clients in enquiries, surveys and appeals. He appears before Supreme Court, High Courts and Tribunals. He has authored more than 15 books on GST and Indirect Taxes.
